This half term we have been learning about Hinduism in Year 1.
We looked at Brahman and other images of God and watched a story about Ganesh and his brother.
We learned that although different Hindus follow different teachings and behave in different ways, there are three main things all Hindus believe in - Dharma, Samsara and Karma.
We listened to a story about blind men and an elephant and re-enacted or own version using Mrs Alcock's coat. Noah thought it was a lion, Alice thought it was a rope, Matilda thought it might be silky clothes and Theo thought it was a spiky pufferfish!
The childen enjoyed exploring artefacts and toys linked to Hindu stories.
