At Trawden Forest Primary School, we’re proud to have a team of dedicated Eco Warriors working alongside Miss Lambert to make our school a more environmentally friendly place. Being an Eco Warrior is a fantastic opportunity for pupils to get involved in how our school is run, while helping to protect our planet. It allows them to express their ideas, influence important decisions, and represent the views of their classmates.

Our Eco Warriors take on a range of important responsibilities, including:

  • Monitoring lunchtime recycling and advising others on which bin to use
  • Keeping an eye on energy use around school, making sure lights and devices are switched off when not needed
  • Encouraging teachers and pupils to recycle and reduce waste
  • Taking part in eco discussions and feeding back key messages to their classes

They also regularly complete litter picks around school and in the local area, helping keep our community clean and cared for. With Miss Lambert’s support, they are empowered to share ideas, pass on feedback from other pupils and staff, and lead by example.

Check back here regularly to see what our Eco Warriors are up to next — because every small action adds up to a big difference!
