Year 1 have been beginning to learn about multiplication recently by learning to count in 2s, 5s and 10s. We have looked at equal groups and added them together to solve problems.
Today we started to learn how groups can be organised in arrays by looking at real life arrays such as chocolate bars or egg boxes. We then used peg boards, counters and squared paper to make our own arrays and talk about them.
