Image of World War II Re-eneactment!!

The first session explained the alliances created during the war and looked at the conflict from different perspectives.  The children learned about the Allies and the Axis and understood how allegiances were created and how they changed.  We also had the opportunity to dress up in various hats to represent each nation.  The second session looked at the war from a the home front.  The children learned how to wind bandages, milk cows and fire rifles!  In addition to this we looked at clothes from WWII: those worn by service men and women as well as every day clothing.  We also had the opportunity to play with toys from the era, including toys that had to be created without metal as that being used for ammunition.  It was a fabulous experience!
