Year 3 had an absolutely fantastic trip yesterday to Outdoor Elements!
We all jumped in a time machine (which looked suspiciously like a coach) and travelled back in time to the Stone Age!
The children spent their day learning how hunter-gatherers lived and seeing if they could survive in the Stone Age. They worked in teams to build shelters, gather nuts and berries, cook bread over an open fire and hunt for food! They used throwing stones, spears and even a bow and arrow! The group leaders were so impressed with how well the children did... and so were we! They worked brilliantly in their groups and had so much impressive history knowledge to share with each other.
The children all said that they had had a fantastic time and we can't wait to see what our next trip will be!
