Today in Year 4, our maths lesson took an unexpected twist! Mr Loynds 'accidentally' tripped and sent our place value counters flying all over the hall! Instead of a typical start, the children sprang into action, helping each other to gather the scattered counters before diving into a whirlwind of learning!
With their keen minds and enthusiastic spirits, the children worked together to partition 4-digit numbers in various ways. It was wonderful to see them discussing different representations and methods, showcasing their understanding and teamwork!
To wrap up this playful yet productive lesson, our class tackled the monumental task of picking up thousands of counters from the floor!
