We have been raising butterflies in our class for the past few weeks. It seems to have taken a very long time - the caterpillars started to make chrysalises at the beginning of the Easter holiday and we have been expecting butterflies since we came back to school.
Finally, this week 3 butterflies emerged (one each day) and we took them to their new home at the forest. They were a little reluctant to come out since the sun had gone in but hopefully they will now create new life cycles for us to discover in our forest.
