Year 1 have been learning about objects and materials today. We knew the names of some materials and started to think about how they are used. We sorted objects according to the material they were made of, hunted for materials around class and draw objects and identified the materials they were made of. We also looked at some pictures of objects made from different materials, such as a glass hammer and a wooden BBQ and talked about why the choice of material may be a good or bad idea.
