We were very sorry to hear that the Queen has died so we decided to celebrate her life by looking at her life, drawing her portrait and painting it blue in the style of Picasso as this was her favourite colour. The children were very mature in their approach to taking out the paints and all of their resources independently so that they were ready to paint. We talked about how to make our paintings neater, how to mix different blues and how to use a variety of paint brushes in different ways to create different effects. A fantastic first effort, Year 3!
