Year 6 have had a wonderful day today doing Bikeability. During the first session they had to ride around the playground through cones - ensuring they could stop quickly as well as indicate. Following this, the confident riders rode in primary (over taking) and secondary (next to the curb) positions through Trawden and into Colne, where the children also indicated and cycled round a roundabout!
The second session focussed on bike maintenance. The children learned how to checked the brake fluid. Following that they located and repaired punctures. We are very proud of the children’s sensible attitudes and resilience despite the cold weather. Well done Year 6!
