What an exciting day we have had today! We began the day by sharing our stories we had brought in with each other, and explaining who we had come to school dressed as, and why we had chosen them. We also took part in the National Competition to design World Book Day tokens, and the children created some lovely designs. We also designed our own bookmarks, ready to get busy reading for our ‘Sharing Stories’ sponsored event. Using dice and a story grid, we wrote our own story! Our story was about a rock band who had rainbow guitars, a boy called Freddie, and even raining cookies! The children then made their own titles and book covers for our new story. The children all looked fantastic, thank you parents and carers for your support.
