Intent

At Trawden Forest Primary School, Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) and Relationship and Sex Education (RSE) enable our children to become healthy, resilient, independent and responsible members of society. We feel it is an important part of children’s education to help them to better understand how they are developing personally (both physically and mentally) and socially, and give them confidence to tackle many of the moral, social and cultural issues that are part of growing up. We provide our children with learning opportunities that are crucial to their needs and for them to learn about rights and responsibilities and appreciate what it means to be a member of the diverse society in which we live. Our children are encouraged to develop their sense of self-worth by playing a positive role in contributing to school life and the wider community.
