World War 2 Workshop

To launch our topic on World War 2, Year 6 enjoyed a practical workshop with historical actor- Adrian Warrell. The children learned about how the war started , some of the roles Britains had during the war and ammunition used. They also learned about rationing, toys and clothes in 1940s and evacuation. The children found the workshop extremely interesting as well as thought provoking and were left with several questions they want answers to through their own research.

Reception Buddies

This year, Year 6 have buddied a Reception child to help them to settle quickly into school life and be a friend to them. The children all enjoyed a Forest School session together where they created mobiles and weaving frames out of natural materials.
