What a fantastic week celebrating Earth Day at our school!
We started on Monday with our amazing Eco-Warriors leading a brilliant assembly all about the impact we can make when we work together to care for our planet.
On Wednesday, classes in KS1 and KS2 took part in a workshop where they learned about climate change and discovered simple ways we can all help protect the Earth. The children then enjoyed a range of Earth Day activities including litter picking, minibeast hunting, recycling challenges, making pledges to the Earth and creating beautiful artwork using natural materials.
Today, the whole school came together for a sponsored run with a difference! Instead of raising money, we asked for pledges to the Earth – promises from our children and families about how they will help look after our world.
We are so proud of how engaged, enthusiastic and passionate the children have been throughout the week. It has been wonderful to see their excitement for learning about sustainability and making a positive difference for the future.
