Our EYFS children have had another amazing week of learning as we continued our topic on People Who Help Us. This week, we focused on emergency vehicles and learned about the important jobs they do to keep us safe. The children talked about different types of emergency vehicles, the people who work in them, and when we might need their help. They were very busy designing their own emergency vehicles and are looking forward to having a go at making them next week.

We have also been learning about explorers and how they help us to discover more about the world. The children enjoyed finding out about Roald Amundsen and Robert Scott, exploring the polar regions and learning about the cold environments, ice, snow, and the different animals that live there.

In maths, the children have been exploring number bonds to 5. Through a range of practical activities and continuous provision, they have been making, building, and representing the number 5 using bricks and other resources, helping to develop their counting, number recognition, and problem-solving skills.

It has been a fantastic week full of curiosity, creativity, and play!
