This week, Year 3 met their linking class from Marden Primary School for the very first time as part of our Building Bridges Project.

They spent the day at the Muni Theatre in Colne taking part in a number of exciting activities that helped them get to know the children from Marsden, start to build new friendships and understand the similarities and differences between different communities.

They were taken on a guided tour of the theatre where they learnt some interesting facts and even got to see what it is like for the performers when they are backstage. They showed some incredible creativity by learning a musical routine, performing a dance on the theatre stage, and using props to create their own characters and perform their own stories. They also showed some amazing teamwork, solving riddles, hunting for clues and finding treasure.

They enjoyed learning the dance so much that they have continued practicing it in class and even performed it for Mrs Stinchon!

The children had a fantastic time and we were so impressed by how confidently they engaged with the activities and how friendly and welcoming they were to the other children. They definitely built some fabulous new friendships and learnt so much about one another.

They can't wait to be able to see their new friends again and are really looking forward to our next trip together!
