Today, Year 4 welcomed a special visit from Skipton Road Dental Surgery. Dentist La’eeqa and Dental Nurse Cassie joined the class to share their expertise and plenty of smiles, in a fun and interactive session all about teeth and oral health.
The children learned why brushing twice a day is so important and even discovered the correct brushing technique to keep their teeth healthy and strong. La’eeqa and Cassie also talked about the different types of teeth and their roles, and which foods are best for keeping teeth happy.
The visit was filled with excitement and laughter, with prizes including stickers, toothpaste, and toothbrushes for the children to take home. There were lots of thoughtful questions, all answered brilliantly by our visitors... even the adults picked up a few new tips!
Now, it’s time for everyone to put that knowledge into practice and brush those teeth!
