We had a birthday party in Year 1 this morning - Tidy Teddy was 6 years old!
The classroom was decorated with bunting and balloons and we had party music playing. The children suggested the types of things we do at a birthday party and we made a list.
We played musical statues, musical bumps and sleeping lions. Then we remembered to sing 'Happy birthday' to Teddy.
After that the children all made Teddy a card to wish him a Happy birthday.
Over the next weeks we will think about our own experience of parties and write a recount of our own birthday party.
