Y1 celebrated World Book Day with lots of activities linked to our story Red Riding Hood.
The children made wanted posters for the wolf and sequenced pictures to retell the story.
They practised paper weaving to make Red Riding Hood's basket and used puppets and masks to retell the story.
They also decorated biscuits for Little Red Riding Hood by adding lots of red toppings. She unfortunately didn't get any of these as the children needed to taste them to check they were okay.
We also had jigsaws and mazes for the children to complete - all with e Red Riding Hood theme.
The adults in class were dressed as characters and even Mrs 'Big Bad Wolf' Alcock couldn't spoil the fun!
