Gardening Club have enlisted the help of Reception Class to begin preparing two varieties of seed potatoes ready for planting next month.
We are taking part in the 'Grow Your Own Potatoes (GYOP)' project which teaches about food origins, healthy eating, and sustainability.
We're going to have lots of fun watching them grow and harvesting the potatoes in summer. We will also be doing a 'Below the Soil' experiment where we grow one seed potato in a plastic bottle and watch how the roots develop, and the potato grows.
We will let you know in later weeks how we get on with it all.
