Today we investigated the properties of some materials and objects.
We talked about what a property is and learned what absorbent, transparent, opaque, stretchy, bouyant and bendy mean.
Given a selection of objects we sorted them according to whether they had a certain property or not. One group were not surprised to find a sponge is more absorbent than a rock but others were confused when a piece of wood floated but a conker sank!
We will continue to investigate they best uses of materials... ...watch this space!
