Year 4 have been busy little scientists this past week, conducting a fascinating experiment with boiled eggs that represented teeth!
The eggs, symbolising our pearly whites, were submerged in six different liquids - water, orange juice, vinegar, full-fat coke, milk, and coffee! The catch? The eggshells mimicked our precious enamel.
After eagerly awaiting the results, what we discovered yesterday was egg-ceptional! Some eggs were stained, some shells became rough, and the vinegar had a truly surprising effect… turning the shell rubbery!
A stinky afternoon, indeed, but a valuable lesson learned. Year 4 now has a newfound appreciation for the importance of dental care! #ScienceIsFun #EggExperiment #DentalHealth
