Today, Year 4 continued to learn about sound and how it vibrates from the source to your ear. As part of this, we discovered that sound loses its volume the further it travels and this happens quicker when passing through a gas. We made string telephones to see how sound could travel over the same distance, but through a solid. We worked hard and discovered that building the string telephones was tricky, but were able to hear some messages through them.
