Today in Forest School, Year 3 and Year 4 were practising tying a reef knot and also a timber hitch so that they can use these whilst making and building dens and other structures. They also practised cutting string using a knife. Some children learnt particularly well from last week when they developed fastening their tarp using string onto a 'tent peg' type device. They even remembered to angle it correctly so that if it was windy, the 'guy rope' didn't come off/ Well done - great learning!
