Today, Year 2 enjoyed their Science lesson outside! In class we have been learning all about minibeasts and their microhabitats. We discussed what a microhabitat was, why they are important and where we may be able to find some. Next, we used the knowledge we had learnt in class to become Scientific Investigators and hunt down some microhabitats on the school field and the Meadow Path.
During the lesson, we found several microhabitats, which were the homes to spiders, woodlice, worms, beetles, millipedes and various other minibeasts!
Take a look at some of our brilliant photos!
