We've had a great Greek day today in Year Five! One of our bucket list activities was to have a Greek Day, which we've completed at the end of our Greek topic. We've drafted our paragraphs ready for our non-chronological reports about the Greek legacy, learned about the Greek alphabet, learned about Athens and Sparta, created our own Athenian and Spartan armies or our own Greek houses during Forest School, and rounded the day off with some Greek food tasting and our class book 'Who Let the Gods Out?'. Many of the children tried everything; the figs, feta cheese, olives, pitta bread, tzatziki and honey. For some, feta cheese and olives weren't their thing, but I'm really proud that they would give it a go.
