Year 5 put their flag knowledge to the test in History today!

Last lesson, we explored the events leading to Britain declaring war in 1939. Today, it was time to discover more about the Axis and Allies. The children matched countries to their flags before becoming map detectives, tracking down the countries on a world map.

We also explored the big question: why was World War II a global conflict?
