Can we grow LOTS more melons next year?" That was the verdict from our children after tasting the melons we grew last year - and we were more than happy to take on the challenge this growing season! 

 So this year, our Gardening Club grew FOUR different varieties of melon from seed. 

 We’ve already harvested some of our melons, with more ripening away ready to be picked. An incredible 22 melons were prepared for this taste-testing session! The children did an amazing job carefully removing the seeds and cutting them up ready to serve. At break time, we took our harvest onto the school yard, where our children had the opportunity to try the different varieties. 

And the response? A huge thumbs up for our school-grown melons! And, of course, the question was... can you grow more next year?
