This week, our Gardening Club children enjoyed a delicious garden-to-plate experience… all cooked and enjoyed in the great outdoors!

Fresh rhubarb was carefully harvested straight from the garden, with the children learning how to twist and pull the stalks correctly. They then prepared and chopped the rhubarb into small pieces, ready for stewing.

As it gently bubbled away, the excitement grew… and it was well worth the wait.

Served warm with creamy vanilla ice cream and topped with crumbly shortbread and ginger biscuits, our stewed rhubarb was a huge hit,

lots of smiles and thumbs up all round!

A fantastic outdoor session full of harvesting, preparing, cooking, tasting, and wonderful teamwork. Well done, everyone!
