Our Investigation Area is full of excitement at the moment, with so much to explore and discover!

Our pumpkin is growing beautifully, linking back to the Autumn term when we read Pumpkin Jack and observed the pumpkin decay before it sprouted new life. It’s been wonderful for the children to revisit and understand the life cycle of a pumpkin in a real and meaningful way.

Meanwhile, our caterpillars have not stopped eating! We think they may soon be ready to form their chrysalises, which has sparked lots of discussion about the life cycle of a butterfly.

Our curiosity cube has also captured lots of attention over the last two weeks, with a very intriguing key inside. The children have been full of ideas and questions about what it might unlock.

As if that wasn’t enough, today we discovered a mysterious door that appeared on the wall! This has created huge excitement, with the children asking thoughtful questions and sharing fantastic ideas about what it could be and where it might lead. Many of the children have developed exciting theories that the key from the curiosity cube could be used to open the mysterious door!

We will keep you updated!
