What a busy Gardening Club session – we packed so much in!

We’ve sown an incredible 100 pots of sunflower seeds as part of a community project, inspired and planned by the children to add even more colour and cheer to our local village .

The children also put our fabulous new rakes from Draper Tools to good use, our mini “grown-up” versions, already hard at work on their summer job, tidying up the cut grass in our garden area and then adding it straight to our compost bays.

We also planted lots more seeds, and our polytunnel is really starting to fill up – it’s looking amazing in there!

The young gardeners were also hard at work continuing to sift compost for another BIG project - watch this space!

And if that wasn’t enough… we cooked popcorn on the stove using some of last year’s corn harvested by the children. Safe to say it was a big thumbs up from everyone in Gardening Club!

A brilliant session all round!
