It’s been an exciting week across our whole school, with four Garden Gang representatives from every class stepping up as Chief Potato Planters! Gloves on and ready to go, they proudly took on the important job of planting this year's crop on behalf of their classmates - making this a true whole-school effort.
After carefully ‘chitting’ our seed potatoes on classroom windowsills, we’ve watched those green shoots burst into life, the perfect start to our growing journey.
Each class now has their own “Spuds in a Tub”, and the challenge is officially on! Over the coming weeks, every class will be nurturing their tubs, all aiming to grow the heaviest crop.
When harvest time arrives before the summer holidays, one class will be crowned Potato Growing Champions 2026. Winning the trophy for their class and a much-loved Spud Buddie to take home!
