This week, our EYFS children have had another fun-filled week of learning across provision.
With the lovely sunshine, the children made the most of being outdoors by building their own dens. They worked together to create cosy shelters and explored different ways to use the equipment.
The outdoor kitchen has been very busy, with the children making lots of refreshing drinks!
Excitement has also been building as the children have started their very own rock band, getting ready for Rock Kidz on Monday. They’ve loved trying out instruments, making rhythms, and performing together.
The children have continued exploring patterns in different ways around provision, showing great curiosity and problem-solving.
The children have also been busy learning about fossils. They carefully chipped away at ice to reveal hidden mini dinosaurs, building their patience and fine motor skills. Mrs Smith also brought in a real fossil for us to look at—it was a fossil of two trilobites, dating from 520 million to 250 million years ago! The children were fascinated and had lots of great questions.
In Drawing Club, we read ‘Are the Dinosaurs Dead, Dad?’ and the children loved drawing their own dinosaurs and describing them.
