Over the past week, Year 4 pupils have been designing, creating and evaluating their own Christmas light-up boxes as part of their learning about electricity and circuits.

The project began with pupils writing a product brief and researching existing products. They then planned and designed their light-up boxes, thinking carefully about how to construct a working circuit before moving on to the making stage.

During the practical sessions, pupils worked together to gather and assemble the necessary components, including batteries, wires and bulbs. This project provided valuable opportunities to develop problem-solving skills, apply scientific knowledge and work collaboratively.
