As part of our topic on Festivals and Celebrations, Reception Class have been learning all about birthdays — what they are, why we celebrate them, and the special traditions that come with them.

The children had lots of fun designing their very own birthday cakes! They practised their cutting skills, used plenty of glue and imagination, and carefully counted out the correct number of candles for each cake.

I’m sure you’ll agree — they look absolutely fantastic!
