EYFS Enjoy a Fun-Filled Forest School Afternoon

This afternoon, our EYFS children had an exciting session at Forest School. They spent time raking and collecting leaves for our leaf mould compost cage. This compost area allows leaves to naturally break down over time, creating nutrient-rich soil that we can use in our school garden. This activity supports the ELG for Understanding the World, as children learn about nature, seasonal changes, and how composting works.

The children had lots of fun throwing leaves in the air, running, and jumping through the piles. They also collected extra leaves to bring back to school and dry. Watch this space to see the leaf art they will create from their collection!

They also enjoyed exploring the field and discovering our new areas!
