This week in Gardening Club we put our edible pumpkins to delicious use! These were the ones our Reception Class did such a super job of harvesting at the end of last term — and they’ve been waiting patiently to be enjoyed.

After plenty of chopping, roasting, and mixing, we turned them into a batch of creamy pumpkin hummus. The children loved seeing how something they’d grown themselves could be transformed into a cosy, autumn-inspired snack — and there were lots of empty bowls by the end!

It’s been a wonderful way to celebrate the season and share the rewards of all that hard work in the garden. Here’s to more school- grown creations ahead!

A Big Shoutout!

A huge thank you to one of our kind supporters for bringing in some pumpkin seeds for us! We’ll be storing them safely ready for planting next year. Thank you so much for thinking of our Gardening Club — it’s really appreciated!
