On Monday, 8 Year 5 children were selected to participate in a Benchball event at Pendle Vale College. Trawden Forest were one of 4 teams present and the children played a match against each of the other teams and then at the end teams joined together to play one larger game.
The team demonstrated excellent teamwork and communication and as the games progressed, began to think much more tactically and improved game upon game. The other teachers at the event also commented on how well Trawden's team performed and the skills they showed. In-between games, after a quick water break, children were keen to practice their skills and took every opportunity to perfect their communication and skills.
In the end, Trawden Forest were awarded 2nd place and came runners up. Children, and parents, had a wonderful time and they represented themselves and the school beautifully. Well done Year 5 Benchball team!
