It was the turn of another group of our Year 1 Gardening Gang to help in the school garden. They did a fantastic job harvesting the chillies and cucumbers to make way for our garlic planting.

The children also enjoyed a healthy snack — a cucumber straight from the polytunnel to plate. It couldn’t have been any fresher!

Next, it was the turn of the worms to enjoy one of their favourite snacks — bananas! The children took turns chopping up a banana before placing it carefully into the worm farm.

We were also delighted to find that the mischievous sweet potatoes were behaving today — staying nicely in the potting shed like well-behaved school spuds!
