Image of A Fun Day Out For Year 6!

What an absolutely brilliant day we had at Seedhill, and the Year 6 pupils were buzzing with excitement! Our adventure began bright and early, with the sun shining down, setting the perfect backdrop for a day filled with laughter and learning.

First up was the cricket skills session with our local legends from Nelson and Colne College. The pupils got some coaching tips on batting and bowling techniques, whilst playing a variety of games. It was fantastic to see everyone enjoying the spirit of the game.

After honing their cricket skills, we ventured into the exciting world of music at The Music Box. Here, our budding musicians explored synthesizers from the 1980s and today, electrifying drums, and an array of colourful percussion instruments. It was brilliant to see our pupils unleash their creativity, making some sweet (and not so sweet) sounds!

Next, it was time for a bit of healthy competition as everyone raced to the top of the climbing wall! There were some real climbers in the group, and the determination and courage they showed was brilliant! We then experienced the archery range where pupils took aim and released their inner Robin Hood. The Crown Green Bowling team from Alkincoats Park, gave everyone the chance to showcase their bowling skills. It was all about fun and friendly rivalry - with some expert bowlers.  At the end of the day the children took part in a 'Colour Run'.  The children completed a lap of Seedhill and Victoria Park, where they were showered with multicoloured powder paints - leaving  everyone covered from head to toe!

All in all, it was an exhilarating day filled with joy, friendship, and plenty of unforgettable memories for our Year Sixes.
