Image of A Day in Ancient Greece!

Today we were treated to a fantastic visit from 'The History Man', who took us on a journey back to the intriguing world of Ancient Greece. He kicked things off by sharing some fascinating insights about the time period, helping us understand how the Greeks thrived from around the 8th century BCE, excelling in areas like philosophy, politics, and the arts.

We also got to roll up our sleeves and dive into some hands-on activities, highlighting what life was like then. One of the highlights was grinding wheat, just like the Ancient Greeks did, which helped us appreciate how essential grains were to their everyday meals.  Another fun activity involved weaving cloth, allowing us to experience the techniques used for creating clothes, which were vital for trade and fashion. Finally we had the chance to etch our names in Ancient Greek onto pots, which was both a creative and educational way to connect with their language. Overall, our time with the History Man really opened our eyes to the wonders of Ancient Greece and sparked an excitement for learning more about this remarkable civilization.
