Maple Class led our school's special Remembrance Assembly today. They shared facts, poetry, prayers and led our school's two minutes silence. Previous to the assembly, the children created wonderful silhouette artwork representing images of wartime. They have learned all about why it is important to still remember the sacrifices that those before us made, the significance of the Poppy and the role of the Royal British Legion. They spoke clearly and audibly in front of a packed hall, and really did themselves and our school proud. Well done Year Five.
