Image of Do you have "egg"cellent teeth?

Today, Year 4 concluded their week long experiment on tooth enamel. They had been trying to discover, what the effects of sugar and acid have on tooth decay. To complete the experiment, they used boiled eggs because the shell can be used to represent the enamel on teeth. Last week, children looked at a range of liquids and decided how much to put over each egg (300ml). We then left that for 7 days to see what would happen to your teeth, if you constantly drank these liquids and didn't brush your teeth.

The results were very "egg"citing!

We discovered that water was the best for your teeth and vinegar and orange juice were the worst!

Take a look at our very stinky lesson.
