Not even the showers could dampen the fun at our Forest School Stay and Play on Saturday! It was so lovely to welcome lots of new faces, as well as the younger siblings of our current pupils, for a morning of outdoor exploring, creating, and growing.

Conkers were transformed into wonderful critters and counting snakes, while our Conker Café offered plenty of opportunities for imaginative muddy play!

The children planted their own Cress Pot Men to take home, ready for a warm, bright windowsill where they can watch their green “hair” grow.

Families explored our school garden and polytunnels, discovering the variety of crops still growing – even at this time of year!

Our pumpkin hunt had the children searching amongst the trees for a school-grown munchkin pumpkin to keep and take home, made extra special knowing they had been grown and cared for by our young gardeners.

The children also enjoyed toasting marshmallows over the fire pit and sandwiching them between chocolate biscuits to make delicious s’mores!

A special thank you to our Head and Deputy Head Gardeners and Eco Council member, who did an amazing job helping with the activities and supporting our young visitors. We were so proud of the care and enthusiasm they showed!

Thank you to everyone who joined us. It was lovely to share our outdoor spaces with you and see families enjoying time together, whatever the weather!
