🌱Growing and Learning Outdoors
It was another extremely busy and productive session this week!
The children were delighted to harvest their first strawberry crop of the season and enjoyed them freshly prepared straight from the plants! “Best strawberries ever!” was the verdict.
Around the garden, we succession planted a different variety of broad beans, checked on the peas growing for the school kitchen and were excited to see pods beginning to form! Some later sown tomato plants were also potted on into larger pots.
We sowed a lot more new seeds, sieved compost for our BIG project, and planted out the fennel to continue growing on.
A fantastic afternoon filled with teamwork, learning, and plenty of enthusiasm from our young gardeners.
