This afternoon, we had a fantastic time exploring our music topic for this half term – Rock!
We listened to and appraised Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple, sharing our thoughts about the music and what we could hear. The children then worked brilliantly to find the pulse in our core song, I Wanna Play in a Band.
We warmed up our voices by copying different pitches, showing great listening skills and confidence. To finish, we played the glockenspiels, keeping in time with the music using the notes C and D – what super musicians we have in Year 2!
