This week in Science, Year 2 became real-life scientists! We have been learning all about how our bodies work and this lesson was all about our hearts.
To discover what makes our hearts beat faster, we tried five different exercises — including jumping jacks, running on the spot, stretching, hopping, and dancing. After each activity, we carefully took our pulses and recorded our results.
Everyone worked brilliantly as a team and made some fantastic observations. We found that the more energetic the exercise, the faster our hearts beat!
It was a fun, active way to learn about how exercise helps to keep us healthy. Well done, Year 2 – super scientists in action!
