During Forest School, the first Year One Gardening Gang had their initial session in our school growing area – and we don’t know how we fit it all in!

The children learned about life in the potting shed, discovered what happens to our fruit and vegetable snack waste that is collected at break time, and had a sneak peek at the worm farm to see how the worms are helping us. They also explored the garden and investigated what’s growing inside the polytunnel.

On top of all that, the Gardening Gang even managed to harvest some enormous onions – we thought they might be competing with The Very Enormous Turnip!

What a fantastic start to the term!
