We’ve had a wonderful start to our final half term of the year in EYFS, with our new topic Holidays!
The children have enjoyed exploring seaside-themed activities this week – from learning about sea creatures to creating colourful artwork inspired by ocean life.
We’ve also started our Drawing Club writing sessions, diving into the story of Pirate Pete. The children have loved getting creative with their drawings and imagining all the adventures Pirate Pete might have!
A magical surprise this week came in the form of a group of fairies, who arrived and made a tiny village right in our classroom. The children have been fascinated by their little world and have had so much fun creating stories and playing alongside them.
A big thank you to Olivia’s grandma and grandad for the lovely gifts they brought back from their holiday. Olivia has really enjoyed sharing them with everyone. The children were especially excited to hear about how her grandad dived into the sea and found two shark teeth! The large fish they brought has inspired some beautiful drawings, with the children carefully matching its colours and patterns.
Come and take a look at the magical and creative first week back – we can’t wait for all the fun still to come this half term!
