For our topic on 3D art and sculpture we needed to practise making things. We used a design through making technique to have a go at creating from the resources we had available without having to worry about drawing a plan first. This left us free to try different techniques, swap materials and change our design as we were working.
We have been thinking a lot about stealing whilst studying Jack and the Beanstalk so this was the perfect prompt for our making lesson. The children loved being creative and everyone made something different from a treasure chest and crown to a flying cat that has golden babies or a bowl of pasta and ketchup!
Everyone was impressed with each others creations and learned useful skills like how to use a stapler and hole punch at the same time.
